The company St. Peter Line has become the winner of the open tender for the right to lease ships for use as floating hotels for the guests of the Sochi Olympics. The company is among the five largest ferry carriers in the Baltic Sea and is currently the only Russian ferry operator. For the accommodation during Olympic Games will be used both ferries of the company - Princess Maria and Princess Anastasia.
Before arriving in Sochi St. Peter Line for the first time in the history of the modern Russian cruise shipping will organize a long cruise. From 9 till 31 January 2014 the ferry Princess Anastasia will make an exciting journey from St. Petersburg to Sochi. During 22 days its passengers will be able to visit 11 ports with one Schengen visa. It’s planned to visit Copenhagen (Denmark), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Tilbury (London, England), Le Havre (Paris, France), Bilbao (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Gibraltar (UK), Palma Mallorca (Spain), Piraeus (Athens, Greece), Istanbul (Turkey) and Sochi (Russia). Sales of the cruise were opened from the end of last year. About 40% of cabins are already booked. The company believes in the success of the Sochi project and hopes that its implementation will become a start point for the further development of the Russian cruise shipping.
More detailed information about accommodation in floating hotels in Sochi during Winter Olympic Games will be in July.
